Our Story
Founded in February, 2021.
Rob Cares and Supports has been servicing the entire Clarence Valley proudly, offering individualized and unique support to people on the NDIS.
Robert Leek, our Founder, set off as a sole trader to bring a new light to support work in our region. Throughout the first 2 and a half years of growth, he and his wife, Sonja, continued to grow the business exceptionally well. In January of 2022 Rob's daughter, Caitlin, joined the administration team transitioning from just a support worker to part of the foundational team. Over the first 12 months of business Rob and Sonja had a team of 10 employee's and 20+ participants. By 2023, Rob, Sonja and Caitlin made the joint decision to transition the business to be a company, consistently growing with staff and participants, making Rob, Sonja and Caitlin all equally responsible for the role they wanted the company to play in the Clarence Valley region.
Our family-owned business was created to support our participants, their families and the community in a way we thought was missing. Empowering individuals with everyday activities, whether at home or in the community, as well as have the ability to assist them in social aspects increasing personal development and independence. Our team strives to encourage participant's to participate in the things they enjoy and to have a purposeful and wholesome life, without missing out on anything they're interested in. First and foremost, we endeavour to make people happy.
Currently our staff list comprises of 20 incredible staff, and 38 wonderful participants, and we still continue to grow. Our team is constantly working toward self-improvement and reaching new goals.
Our participants get matched with our employees to encourage working alongside someone with similar interests and to ensure maximum enjoyment for the time spent together. We know that trust is an invaluable asset, and we strive to build strong relationships within our team, our participants and their support network and our greater community.
Our team is honest, hard-working, passionate and gratified to be able to work in the disability support sector, it is very empowering. We love what we do, and we take pride in providing the highest standards of care in the Clarence Valley and surrounds.
